Kaydelis explains who, what, when, where, why and how
We're really excited to be helping with some of Kaydelis' booking efforts. This Urgentpop band from just north of Atlanta (Woodstock to be exact) is so dope! Their song "Wrath/Fury" is what originally drove us to book them for Live from SOBATL back in 2023. The band is currently working tirelessly to complete their upcoming project, release their new music and start touring the southeast. Kaydelis explains who, what, when, where, why and how.
Zuko) Who do you think is the greatest artist/band of all time?
Kaydelis) The greatest band of all time is Radiohead, they have defied expectations and continued to release such impactful music album after album.
Zuko) What you been listening to?
Kaydelis) We’ve been listening to The Marias, Beach House, Khruangbin, George Clanton, The Strokes, Gold Celeste, Sweet Trip, and The Avalanches.
Zuko) When did you want to become a professional musician/artist?
Kaydelis) It started for us in 2019 when the band first began. It’s been a struggle to put our egos aside and just focus on creating but we are confidently at the point where we can create professional compositions and produce exactly what we have in our minds.
Zuko) Where are your favorite venues to play?
Kaydelis) The Masquerade, The Vinyl, bar shows and frat shows are fun too… we have a pretty high level setup that requires a knowledgeable live engineer to pull of so the higher level the venue the better for us.
Zuko) Why do you make music?
Kaydelis) We make music because we feel like we are only getting better at it. It’s a job for sure, but for us the journey of continuously making things we are proud of gives us the drive to continue.
Zuko) How do feel about the local music scene in your city?
Kaydelis) I think the local scene is fine. There are plenty of different genres and passionate music fans making music. I feel like it’s hard for us to find an adjacent band to us to fit comfortably in our scene but there are lots of talented folks in our area.
